Let me start off by saying, I LOVE the look. It's a great looking watch. Not loud either.
My issue with this watch is that the crown jabs my hand whenever I move my hand up. It's also a little difficult to put the strap on. The strap itself feels like it will tear or damage easily. The earlier reviews lead me to believe this is indeed a fragile strap/watch.
This is my favorite watch, by far. However, it has its issues, the most annoying one being the fact that the leather band is a proprietary format and it costs $25+shipping on Skagen's website (sometimes they offer free shipping). And the leather band lasts about a year. After 2 years I started buying generic 12mm leather bands and use a box cutter to shape it. They last about the same, and some even look the same, design-wise, but, oh well, it's not quite the same - there is the sharp cut edge that looks a little odd.
Then, there's the well-documented instantly shattering crystal. I just heard a cracked glass noise and then I saw it was my watch. Without me hitting anything. Ouch. However, when I contacted Skagen, they didn't admit to anything, they just said "please send it to us for repair" so it cost me $6 (shipping) to fix it. 5 years later, the second crystal still holds. Not 100% scratch proof, but not shattered either.
I purchased this watch online about 5 yrs ago because I wanted a very light unobtrusive watch. The watch has performed perfectly. NO issues whatsoever. Feels great and looks great. Great casual watch. Main problem is with the leather band. I have purchased three or four so far. YOU must order them from skagen directly or I believe there is one online reseller. Costs about $25.00. I have the older pin model, the newer ones use screws. Very difficult to change the band. Alas, when she dies, I will replace with and Emporio Armani, when that days comes I do not know, it may be a while.
My parents bought me this watch for me a few weeks ago and I just love it. It is not too small nor is it too big, and it isn't too heavy either. My biggest problem with most watches is the loud ticking, but this watch has a really quiet tick. The best part about this watch is how comfortable the strap is. I don't think I have ever had a more comfortable watch in my life, and I collect watches! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!!
This watch meets the description. Quality finish. Very nice detail. Very thin. Keeps excellent time. Looks and feels like a high quality watch. The leather band is also a quality item but would, after using for several weeks, prefer a metal band. I am used to a slip on watch and find threading the leather strap through the two small straps a bit annoying. Would buy again in a minute.

Corsair CA-HS1NA Gaming Audio Series HS1
Going to 7.1 surround from stereo sound was a huge leap. I didn't know what I was missing. So awesome. The sound is very good and the mic is perfect. No static at all and good volume adjustment on everything. Very comfortable to wear.
Be sure to install the software or else it will just be in stereo.
The only con is the bass is a little lacking, but still a good product.
Very comfortable. I mean VERY. I've been wearing these for like 3 hours straight and I forgot they were even on. The cord on this thing is like 9 feet long, so you know for sure you got more than enough wiggle room. Thankfully, there is a little Velcro to bring that snake in to a less stringy length.
Great sound. Seriously. I tested this with the Omaha Beach scene in Saving Private Ryan. With the headset switched to 5.1, I began watching and thought "hmm, this is pretty good." That is, until I switched it back to stereo and realized "5.1 is not pretty good, it is amazing" The options to switch between stereo, 4.1, 5.1, and 7.1 is awesome, even though there is only one setting I'd ever use (guess). There is also a ton of options that I haven't even begun using, and many I probably never will, but I appreciate it's inclusion. The headset isn't very bassy, however. I mean, that ain't a problem for me, but I guess if you like that rumble and shake thing, maybe this isn't for you.
There is also a question about whether or not its worth it to use the Dolby Headphones mode. It takes regular 5.1 and 7.1 mode, and makes it a little bit more subtle. Well, it's actually a lot more subtle, as when you don't have DH on, Surround Sound is much more defined. I guess its supposed to resemble more of a "real surround sound" experience, but at the same time, I love hearing bullets whiz from one side to the other clearly. I leave it off, but its really up to you.
I was worried the mic would be too quiet but no one has had an issue hearing me yet.
The one thing don't like is that the volume control is like a good yard away from the headset itself, so if I need to adjust anything I need to look and reach for it.
Its the cheapest surround sound USB headset I've found, and so far, I feel as though I've picked the right product, and I know in the future when Corsair rolls out their next in line, I will probably purchase those too.

Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Reviews
OKAY, FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS CAMERA!!!! I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER BUT I DO SOME FREE LANCE PHOTOGRAPY AND I'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR A WHILE NOW AND IT'S GREAT!!!! WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THE T3 IS THE BODY!!! IT FEELS LIGHT WEIGHT AND IT'S SMALLER THEN MOST BODIES! NOT SO HEAVY ON THE WRIST WHEN YOUR DOING HOUR LONG SHOOTS, ETC! IF YOUR A MARCO PHOTOGRAPHER THEN YOU WOULD MOST DEF. HAVE TO PURCHASE A EXTENDER LENS(IF YOUR ON A BUDGET YOU CAN FIND ONE ON AMAZON FOR UNDER 11 BUCKS)IT MAKES FOR A BETTER PICTURE! YOU REALLY JUST HAVE TO TAKE SOME TIME AND LEARN WHAT YOUR "BABY" CAN DO! AND THAT'S WITH ANY CAMERA!!! BUT IT'S JUST SO EASY TO USE!!! THE MANUAL BREAKS IT DOWN CLEARY.
NOW AS FAR AS THE MOVIE MODE IF YOUR LOOKING TO SHOOT MUSIC VIDEO'S OR SOMETHING OF THE SORT I WOULD CONSIDER THE T2I OR THE T31 BOTH HAVE 1080 HD QUALITY AS THE T3 HAS A 740 HD BUT IT GETS THE JOB DONE!!!! IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC WITH A LED LIGHT OF ANY SORT!!!
WITH MY "BABY" I PURCHASED THE FOLLOWING: TT50 FLASH SPEEDLITE (WORKS GREAT BY THE WAY) YOU CAN BUY THAT ON AMAZON IF YOUR ON A LOW BUDGET! A 160 POWER DIMMABLE LED LIGHT(WORKS GREAT AS WELL)FOR THE MOVIE MODE AND TOGETHER IT MAKES ONE POWERFUL CAMERA!
I HOPE THIS REVIEW WAS HELPFUL!!!

New Board, new platform, renewed commitments – Dgroups partners meeting 2011
The Dgroups membership met last week in Rome during the Rome 2011 Share Fair for the 2011 Partners meeting. This was the first face to face meeting of the Dgroups partners since 2009, when we met in The Hague just after the Foundation was created and the migration of the platform to WA-Research was completed.
The meeting was well attended, with half of the Dgroups partners participating and actively engaging in the discussion on Dgroups present, its value and concrete plans for future activity and development.
In the first part of the meeting, Hapee de Groot and Rob Witte from the Dgroups Board reported on 2010 activities and finances. In the discussion that followed, Dgroups partners addressed the issue of how to enlarge the membership and market Dgroups amongst development organisations. Dgroups remains a unique initiative in development cooperation, partly because it is email based and so is suitable for those still numerous areas where Internet access is expensive and unreliable, but partly because we are independent and so not subject to the same regulations and constraints as Google and other commercial platforms based in the US. These factors, together with the current site redesign and the budget available for further technical development, will definitely help promoting Dgroups in the months to come.
As part of the business meeting, Dgroups members also agreed to enlarge the Board to 6 members and confirmed the nomination of 3 new Board members . This was also the chance to thank outgoing Board members Riff Fullan (Helvetas) and Maarten Boers (who stepped down last April) for serving as Board members in the first elected Board of the Dgroups Foundation and for their great contributions.
In the second part of the meeting Dgroups members had the opportunity to meet with Damir Simunic of WA-Researchto discuss updates and plans related to the Dgroups platform. The site redesign is almost complete and some existing groups have been already migrated to the new version. There are still some bugs currently being fixed and some more groups will be migrated in the next month to further assess if the platform is robust enough to proceed with the full migration. On the basis of the feedback and information received, the Board will decide on a date when the complete migration can be started.
In the last part of the meeting, Dgroups partners looked into Dgroups futures. The session was designed to combine and adapt two facilitation methodologies - appreciative enquiry and ‘future backwards’. In two groups, participants listed Dgroups assets, then they shared and combined them. From this basis, the two groups defined a ‘nightmare’ and a ‘dream’ scenario for Dgroups 2 years from now. Finally, they described the steps that lead to each scenario and reflected on what can be done to influence the path – focusing on immediate, medium and longer term actions.
The complete report of the meeting is currently being drafted and will be circulated to members soon in the coming days.
